Introducing a New Blog Design

Published September 29, 2015 Updated May 17, 2017 15 Comments

I'm so excited to announce that, after 5 years of blogging, I now have a professional blog design! (If you are reading this in a reader, be sure to click through to the blog to see the new design.) A professional blog design is something I've always planned to do and am so happy that the day has finally come. So you can see how far I've come, would you like to see how my blog design has evolved since its beginning? It's changed a lot! Way back when I started my blog, I knew nothing about blog design. I started by typing my title into the header. Nothing fancy to look at, but it worked. … Read More...

Introducing the New Weekly Newsletter

Published August 20, 2015 Leave a Comment

I'm so excited to introduce a new feature here at Joyfully Thriving. Well, it's an additional feature. It's the new weekly edition of the Joyfully Thriving newsletter! Let me tell you a bit about what I've been doing and why I'm making this change. Until now, people who signed up for my newsletter received an email anytime I published something here on the blog. Every morning, if something new had been published in the previous 24 hours, my newsletter list would receive an update via email. Some people really enjoy that but I think the frequency was holding a lot of people back from … Read More...

Published June 30, 2015 Updated May 17, 2017 6 Comments

The results from my very first Joyfully Thriving reader survey are in! Thank you to everyone who took the time to respond and share your feedback with me. Some of you may remember that I'm in the midst of a blogging class called Elite Blog Academy. It's stretched and challenged me more than I expected - and I'm loving it! You see, I would love to be a full time blogger who earns an income from blogging while staying at home with our precious son. EBA is helping me figure out how to make that dream a reality. The survey helped me gain some good insights as to what you all love and don't … Read More...

Joyfully Thriving: Past, Present and Future

Published January 21, 2015 Updated August 17, 2019 4 Comments

Have you played around with Wordle before? I learned about it several years ago and used it with my third and fourth graders. They loved creating poetry with this online site. I always liked it too. I plugged in my website address at Wordle and the above words are the ones they picked as popular words from my website. I don't know how scientific it is, but I enjoyed seeing what Wordle said about my blog. I've hinted at it several times over the past weeks and now it's time to share. I've been doing a lot of reflecting about my website over the past month. I started blogging her at Joyfully … Read More...

Top 10 Posts of 2014

Published January 01, 2015 Updated August 17, 2019 Leave a Comment

As we begin a new year, I thought it would be fun to see which posts were most popular in 2014. It is interesting to me to see which ones were searched for the most. Some are the same as the top articles of 2013 but there are some new popular ones too. Also, I want to say a sincere thank you to everyone who pins my articles and recipes and idea on Pinterest. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Pinterest is one of my favorite ways to discover new things (you can follow me here) and I love being able to share with others there, too. 10. Preschool Handprint Calendars are an absolutely adorable … Read More...
