Preparing for a Month of Freezer Cooking

Published September 30, 2013 Updated August 17, 2019 17 Comments

Welcome to the start of another October and the beginning of another 31 Days series. I'm so excited to join the Nester again as well as hundreds of other talented bloggers. Last year, I wrote for 31 Days about Chocolate - yum! - and enjoyed being in the kitchen baking my favorite chocolate treats. I discovered a lot of new favorite chocolate treats, too! This year, I decided to stay in the kitchen and am devoting 31 Days to Freezer Cooking. There are several reasons for this motivation. First, my husband and I are both busy teachers at separate Lutheran schools. When we get home in the … Read More...

Who doesn't love chocolate? I certainly do and decided to share some of my favorite chocolate recipes with you. Along the way, I discovered … Read More...

Softest Coconut Macaroons Recipe You’ll Ever Taste

Published August 02, 2013 Updated April 13, 2021 Leave a Comment

Do you like coconut? I certainly do. For years now, I've been getting my coconut fix by using this coconut macaroons recipe. They are easy to make - and freeze great. I often make a double batch of these coconut macaroons and store some in the freezer for when I need a quick dessert. Once tasted, this coconut macaroons recipe is often a favorite. I think it's the combination of orange juice, almond extract and cream cheese that make these macaroons taste so good. They are so soft that the cookie almost bends when you break it. Not only are they soft and amazingly delicious, but it is one of … Read More...
