The Heart of Hannah

I’ve been doing a lot of reading and reflecting this week on the heart of Hannah. It came about because of some challenging conversations I had and then a devotion book I was given by a former parent. It means more to me than you know, Stachia! We Believe

Yesterday, the National LCMS Youth Gathering - We Believe - ended in New Orleans. Over 23,000 Lutheran youth gathered together for a time to worship, learn and grow. I am a firm believer that every Lutheran youth should do two things. Number One - Go on a Mission Trip. Number Two - Go to a National Youth Gathering. Both of these events will change your life in dramatic, if admittedly different, ways. I know because I experienced both and my life was changed by both. I am a Lutheran. I was born to a Lutheran pastor and his Lutheran school teacher wife. I was baptized, confirmed and married in a Lutheran church. I attended Lutheran grade school, high school and college. I teach in a Lutheran school. I am blessed with a Lutheran heritage - simply put, a love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the knowledge that He is the only way to heaven. I am daily thankful that we are saved by grace, not by works. I know the beliefs of Lutherans and I also know the quirks of Lutherans.
