I do love a good Kroger Mega Deal. Once I figured them out, I look forward to a new sale and the good deals that come around. This particular Mega Deal is going on through next week so you still have time to pick up any of these deals for yourself, if you want to! I’m including links to many of the coupons I used so you can use them too, if you want!
I bought a dozen cans of Green Giant vegetables for $0.49. It’s the same price as Aldi generics but I get a box top on each of these cans which is a nice.
I picked up 4 boxes of Annie’s macaroni for $0.50 each, thanks to this $1/2 printable coupon and the $1 sale.
I bought 3 Hormel Natural’s snack packets (diced chicken, chocolate covered almonds and cheddar cheese) totally free. They were on sale for $0.99 with the mega sale and I used this $1/1 printable coupon to get these for free.
The Puff’s big boxes of tissues were on sale for $0.99 with the mega sale. I used this $0.50/1 printable coupon and paid only $0.49 a box.
I bought 4 bags of tortilla chips for $0.99 as part of the mega deal. The Kettle chips were $1.79 with the mega deal, and I used this $1/2 printable coupon to get two bags for $1.29 each.
I picked up my free Larabar and free Jello, thanks to Friday Freebies. The Plum packets were all free thanks to a $1/2 coupon paired with the $0.49 mega sale price.
I bought Colgate toothpaste (which should have been free) and Old Spice deodorant for $0.99 but one of my $1 digital coupons didn’t come off so I’ll have to fix that at customer service next time.
I was excited to see chuck roast on sale for $2.49/lb. I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen the price this low. I bought two roasts. I also bought 2 bags of potatoes which were $0.99 for 5 pounds.
I also took advantage of 18 eggs for $0.99 and bought 36 total. Nathan’s looking forward to dying eggs, even though he won’t eat them. Andy and I have been eating them for lunch every day so it works out.
The Curious George fruit snacks were $0.89 and I managed to sneak them into the cart without Nathan seeing his Easter basket treat. I bought marshmallows for $1 to try making resurrection rolls. Have any of you ever made them before?
All in all, I spent $44.14 at Kroger and saved 65%.
The kids and I made a quick stop at Aldi when we were downtown on Wednesday. We needed another gallon of milk and hamburger buns that I forgot at Kroger. I picked up a couple other produce deals too.
Milk was $1.99 and the buns were $0.85. Powdered sugar was $1 for 2 pounds and Italian seasoning $0.49. Great prices! 20 tortillas were $1.69, which I bought since Nathan and Emma have discovered they like quesadillas now. I picked up a pineapple for $0.99, baby carrots for $0.49, cauliflower for $1.99 and broccoli crowns for $1.29. Those were good produce deals too. Nathan picked a $0.33 strawberry yogurt as his treat for being a good helper while Emma slept in the cart.
At Aldi, I spent $11.59.
This week, I spent $55.73 on groceries. That takes me to $134.14 for the month which is exactly half of my monthly budget and I’m halfway through the month. I love it when that happens.
Did you shop the mega deals at Kroger this week? Or where did you shop to find your best deals?
