When we finally arrived home this weekend, we ambitiously unpacked the entire car and started the laundry before I got to my favorite chore – sorting the mail. It was amazing how full our mailbox was after only one week away. I pulled out the bills and the junk mail, to be left with these freebies.

I don’t pay for magazines. With so many free subscriptions floating around, why should I? I also received two coffee samples that I will save for coffee drinking company. My recent full-sized Lash Volumizer sample from Vocalpoint arrived. I was most excited to see our $25 Meijer gift cards arrived. We received those from subscribing to the paper. I love opening a mailbox filled with freebies!

Periodically, I like to remind everyone that there is a free subscription available to Thriving Family – a wonderful magazine published by Focus on the Family.

Thriving Family is written to help all families thrive – military families, single parent families, traditional families, blended families, and adoptive families, to name a few. There is something for everyone! Every month, there is a section called “Ages and Stages” that deals with different topics specific for preschoolers, grade school children and teens. There are many wonderful articles every month.

Being from San Antonio, I’d be remise if I didn’t share a fantastic article featuring David Robinson from last month. Once again, it proves why the Admiral is such a great Christian role model. I am proud that he was on the Spurs and represented our city for so many years!
