Yes, you read that correctly. Even though my chocolate recipes continue to post, I left yesterday for our teacher’s conference in Indianapolis. I baked ahead a bit to make sure this would work!
It was a short school week. My husband and I are both teachers, you know, and we both taught only three days this week. Then, Andy left on Wednesday afternoon with his faculty, and I left bright and early Thursday morning with my faculty. This conference is for all the private and parochial schools in Indiana. We’re hoping to learn lots – and enjoy the time away with our fellow teacher friends.
I didn’t go shopping this week. After getting back from a wonderful women’s retreat (with my cousins and former teacher friends) on Sunday, I didn’t have my coupons ready for my usual Monday shopping.
I was going to shop on Tuesday, but it was a long day with school, music and four piano lessons – and I still didn’t have my coupons organized.
By this point, knowing we’d be gone on Thursday and Friday, I decided not to go shopping on Wednesday either.
The only thing I bought this week – and it was delivered to me at school – was a dozen farm fresh eggs at $1.50.
This brings my total for October to $83.71. It leaves me with $76.29 to spend yet this month. I’ll let you know how I spend over the remaining weeks of October!
